SFM to Operate Night Trains for the Lloseta Patron Saint Festivities

Special services will operate during the early hours of Saturday, August 29, and Friday, September 4

Serveis Ferroviaris de Mallorca (SFM) will operate special night services for the Lloseta patron saint festivities, providing convenient, safe and sustainable transport to and from the town as an alternative to private vehicles.

This is the first time SFM has scheduled night trains for this celebration. The services will operate during the early hours of Saturday, August 29, into Sunday, August 30, and Friday, September 4, into Saturday, September 5.

The service plan has been designed for two of the festival days when high attendance is expected, particularly among young people. Night trains will operate on the Palma–Manacor and Palma–Sa Pobla lines, in both directions, stopping at all intermediate stations.

For the night of Saturday, August 29, into Sunday, August 30, SFM has scheduled eight special services. On the Palma–Manacor line, trains will depart from Palma Intermodal Station at 12:10 a.m. and 2:10 a.m., while trains from Manacor to Palma will depart at 11:30 p.m. and 1:30 a.m. On the Palma–Sa Pobla line, departures from Palma will be at 11:25 p.m. and 1:15 a.m., while trains from Sa Pobla will depart at 1:00 a.m. and 2:45 a.m.

For the night of Friday, September 4, into Saturday, September 5, the service will be expanded to a total of 12 night trains.

On the Palma–Manacor line, departures from Palma Intermodal Station will be at 12:15 a.m., 2:15 a.m. and 4:15 a.m., while trains from Manacor to Palma will depart at 11:30 p.m., 1:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. On the Palma–Sa Pobla line, a further six special services will be provided, departing from Palma at 11:15 p.m., 1:15 a.m. and 3:15 a.m., and from Sa Pobla at 12:45 a.m., 2:45 a.m. and 4:45 a.m.

With this special service, the Government of the Balearic Islands reaffirms its commitment to providing night-time rail transport during festivals, celebrations and major public events held in municipalities along the railway corridor, offering a safe, convenient and sustainable alternative to private vehicles.
