SFM to operate a special metro service for the FIFA World Cup Final live screening at Son Fusteret

Serveis Ferroviaris de Mallorca (SFM) will operate a special metro service on Sunday, 19 July, to coincide with the live screening of the FIFA World Cup Final, featuring the Spanish national team, on the giant screen installed by Palma City Council at Son Fusteret. The special service is designed to make it easier for spectators to travel to and from the event.

Following the successful operation provided for Spain's semi-final against France on Tuesday, SFM has once again planned the service to ensure convenient transport regardless of whether the match ends in regular time or goes into extra time and, if necessary, a penalty shootout.

A total of 24 additional metro services will operate between Son Fuster Vell (Son Fusteret) Station and Intermodal Station in both directions. From Intermodal Station, twelve trains will depart between 7:30 pm and 12:15 am. In the opposite direction, twelve trains will run from Son Fusteret to Intermodal between 7:40 pm and 12:25 am. In both directions, trains will run every 10 minutes between 11:05 pm and 12:25 am. All services will stop at Jacint Verdaguer and Son Costa/Son Fortesa stations.

The venue will open at 6:00 pm, allowing spectators to arrive early and enjoy the pre-match atmosphere. The programme will include live music and a performance by DJ Jaume Colombàs.

Full timetables for the special metro service are available on the SFM and TIB websites.
